John Yoo: Yoo Weenie

An excellent example of our worthless government: John Yoo and his evasion when questioned by John Conyers. Yoo wouldn't be doing this if he knew he'd actually get in trouble for it.

As a law professor at a university now, Yoo is no longer bound to kiss the hineys of the bosses from previous job and toe their line, but he still does, most likely because they'll be the ones saving him from his evasion.

It's really no wonder people just shrug and turn their heads away when faced with the issues our country's government has- it's a vacationland for scoundrels, crooks, liars, and people who don't want to step on toes and lose their jobs because of it.

"Get paid a lot to smile for the camera and pretend you're actually changing the world your supporters live in."

Patriotism is impeaching Bush and his gang "who can't shoot straight" should all be impeached. Although Nancy Pelosi said "impeachment is off the table, if she won't put it back on the table; Nancy Pelosi should be impeached. Although perhaps one of the reasons, she won't put it on the table because her husband Paul is reaping some of that lying WMD Bush's Iraq War's money Forget the winning the election, I want our Constitution honored as it is, well, was written. I want my civil liberties upheld. I
all departments of the government not be politicized. As it is now, CIA, FBI, DOJ, FDA DOD and the others don't function as Republican sheep are in office. Not the best or the brightest but folks who carry Bush's water. I even think Mukasey is a Bush water carrier no matter that Democrats helped to appoint him to office. The Democrats are a disgrace as well as the Re4publicans. The Democrats are weaker than amoebas and just as hard to see. Oh yes some of the Democrats are profiting from the war as well

I agree- a politician is, by definition, someone whose job it is to lie. They're all scoundrels. However, the democrats are the ones I actually expect more from. The republicans consistently deliver exactly what I expect from them: selfish, hawkish, childish greed.

Republicans, in their current incarnation, are looking for the freedom to step on as many heads as necessary to 1) do what they want, unfettered by pesky laws, ethics and morals (all in the name of 'family values, mind you) and 2) get as much money as they can and keep as much of it as they can. They see the world as their oyster and the poor, non-white, immigrant, non-closeted masses as either stepping stones or speed bumps, depending on how far they do or do not bend over and cooperate in helping them attain 'the American Dream.'

Many of the Democrats in power are turning out to be not a whole lot better. But there is still much more hope for the Democrats because there is far less inherent hypocrisy. The Republicans say one thing and have sex with another; the Democrats do that to some degree when it comes to politics, but on the whole are more forthright on social issues, fighting against poverty, balancing the budget, etc.
